We Set Fire To The Sky

Since this band's inception we have always tried to evolve and progress in our sound and this release is the next chapter in this bands search for something more.

We Set Fire To The Sky is different in more ways than I can describe. Not only has our sound evolved into something bigger and better but the way I approached writing lyrics was different. The theme of the record is isolation; feeling isolated as a human, feeling isolated as a species, and embracing that feeling. This feeling has always been a struggle I've had within my self and it felt good to purge it into this piece.

We have always wanted to release a record our selves, and this will be the first of ours. We wanted something more tangible than what we have grown accustomed to. We wanted to get our hands dirty and get out exactly what we put in. We'd like to thank Dom/A389 for helping us with everything along the way. We would have not gotten this far if it wasn't for Dom and his patience with us.

Stefan at Vendetta records has agreed to do the pressing of the European version of this record. His version of this record will be slightly different. We appreciate his patience and dedication to this project.

Last but not least, the art work was done by Thomas Hooper. I saw a piece of his in a flash book he created and I fell in love with it. I contacted him and asked him if he would like to contribute to this project and he said he would draw a piece for us, the raven hexen above is exactly what he sent me. It is an honor to work with someone as talented and that appreciates art as much as he does. His contribution to this project means a lot.

We are waiting on the test presses for this record to come in and pre orders will be going up on Vendetta and through us.

Without further ado, here's a track from this new LP.

The Sun Gives Way To False Truths...

Originally meant for a mid 2012 release...here's a track we've been holding on to for a while. Enjoy.

We just finished up in the studio. Our LP is only an evolution of what we've been writing before, what we've been saying before. New sounds, new ideas, new direction. We're proud of this record. We decided to self release this LP. It has been a pleasure to work with Dom at A389 but self releasing our music has been a goal of ours for a while and I think this is a perfect landmark to start at. Stefan over at Vendetta records will be releasing our vinyl in Europe. We will have more information soon on a tentative date. We are waiting for the mixed and mastered version of this record.

Artwork is done by Thomas Hooper. If you have not seen his art/tattoos please do your self the favor and check him out. We are very thankful to have done this collaboration with him.

A389 will be putting out a flexi with a song from the SSOS/COG recording sessions with Chris Owens. Dom has been nothing but good to us and he continues to want to work with us on our releases and we greatly appreciate him for that.

Dom will also be putting out a 7inch of a new song we recorded...it's a 10 minute song split up into two separate sides. The 7inch will come with a download link of the song in its entirety.

We are finishing writing a full lengths worth of material and I'm sure details will come about soon. Some of us have been out of town/busy with school/work/life so things here were put on the backburner but we're getting back in motion.

We also have a liveset featuring new songs that have yet to be unreleased (7inch/full length). Listen to it here.

That is all.

These words...

Hello all, I apologize for not ever updating this thing. Things have been going pretty well on this side of the fence.

A lot has happened since this last writing...I'll make points.
- Recorded with Chris Owens (Lords) for the split with Seven Sisters Of Sleep
- Played a show with Gehenna, NAILS, Seven Sisters, Mistake, Creatures to celebrate the release of that record
- We have gotten great reviews from blogs, magazines, etc. etc. for our new stuff...really humbling and great to know our art is being appreciated
- Played a couple shows here and there to dust off the old songs
- That's about it

We will be going into the studio to record a new song for the new ALL ABOUT FRIENDS (think of the 90's) compilation being put out by none other than the great Rich Hall and friends. We will be sharing the record with some great bands.

We have been playing the song that will be on the compilation at our recent shows...if you've seen us lately you'll know what to expect.

We just got a practice space to finally call home. We will be in album hibernation road...we have a few songs that we have been playing that will be on the LP...we will not give our selves a deadline...you can't rush creativity. Expect some new things, new sounds, new sights, new everything...it's all part of the evolution.

I think that is all.

New Noise?

Hello all,

We will be recording this coming month (finally) for that split we once talked about and possibly just a "singles" thing. I'm not sure anymore. New songs are coming along.

That is all.

letting the dust settle...

Honestly, we haven't been doing too much since this last update...we are all busy with things that do not include this band. Chris Owens (lords) has been contacted to record our new record and I think that is going to happen...so finally new music.

We recently got reviewed on CVLTNATION you can read that review here.

We have two shows this month...

April 23rd with Capsule in San Diego...I think that falls on a Sunday.

April 30th with Torchrunner in Garden Grove.

Come one come all.
